The Bothell Beartic were a small favorite going into the match as the #1 ranked team with 5 wins and 0 losses. The slight underdog, if you can even call them that, were the #2 ranked Corvallis Knights who also have a record of 5-0 but have lost a point due to a penalty earlier this season. These highly anticipated matches come a few times a season, this one more exciting than any other in recent memory.

Game one had the fans on their feet as Ace Trainer Grant swiftly swam circles around Champion Kenneth. Like most matches we have seen this season, Champion Kenneth took a second to gather himself before match two. From that point on, it was all Beartic. As the battle continued, it was apparent Grant made a misstep and never was able to regain composure during the onslaught of switches and heavy hits from his opponent.
