Competing in the PDL is many things; competitive, exciting, rewarding, but one thing it is not is EASY. This is something Trainer William and the Venersborg Venusaur have learned over the past 2 seasons and something they taught Traffic Instigator Luke in this match.
Trainer William has shown a lot of growth this season, honestly to the surprise of everyone in the league. This week his dominant run continued as he dodged through traffic like Lightning McQueen, to his 4th win. Losing only to the Mudkip in a 5 game thriller, the Venersborg Venusaur are in a good position going into the last two weeks of the regular season. William had praise for his opponent following the match,
“Luke put together a solid team this week. Given a little more time he will be able to take that next step and really start competing.”
A 3-0 sweep, puts the Bellevue Traffic Instigators stuck behind a semi full of the rest of the league. Like many rookies who got thrown into the big leagues, he has made steady progress from his week one blizzard Slaking days. He may not see the results he wants this season, but thanks to a fresh contract extension, he will have another shot in season 2.2. For now, Gym Leader Luke needs to keep his head down and learn as much as he can.
